The eight parts of speech (I)

This is the second week of the course and we are about to learn the eight part of speech and how they function in English in order to understand, and I quote,  “the basic building blocks of an English sentence”. Now it’s time for the first three of them.

  1. Nouns: persons, places, things, living creatures and concepts.
  2. Pronouns: they take the place of a noun in order to avoid repetitions.
  3. Adjectives: the modify nouns and pronouns.
